My 4wdin my 2018 works fine, but I’m getting a clunking sound from what seems to be the transfer case when the dial is turned to 4h/4l. Never noticed this before. Anyone else hear this in theirs?

Yes it’s normal, it’s the gears engaging, in the manual it says to drive at least 10 miles monthly to lubricate the system. Mine makes a noise but 4wd is working fine so it doesn’t bother me.

Where does one go to drive for 10 miles in 4wd? I haven’t touched 4we since I bought it.

Yeah don’t turn on dry pavement, it will bind the system up. Since rainy days are common here in Houston, I normally put it in 4x4 on a really wet day, the wet pavement let’s the tires slip while turning and won’t bind the system up, you’ll get your 10 miles in no time.

Btw, 4wd launches in the rain are fun lol:mudding:

You don't need to switch to 4lo, you can stay in 4hi. No max speed for the 4wd system in high range. In your low range gearbox (4lo) you can only go ~30-35 mph max.

Just remember while in 2wd do not switch to 4wd while going more than 60mph, go under then switch to 4hi.
