Even with the Labor Day sales, I wasn't about to spend that much money on the tailgate spoiler and lights combo, and Rave isn't much cheaper (and they seem to be a polarizing website). I'm not an electrician or work in fab. I am a woodworker, however, so I played to my strengths with plywood (still rigid enough and won't move too much with the weather compared to wood). Just to double down on waterproofing, I coated everything in 5 coats of plasti dip.

If I have time and there's interest, I'll post picture of the truck install and finished product.

Cardboard (free - from the box the spoiler came in). I used it as a mockup, soaked in epoxy in case I screwed up and needed to make another bracket.

Had scrap plywood but could get that size for between $10-$15.

    Lights were $8.19 each.

Tailgate Spoiler was an ebay snag for 350...seems he's got a few there still: 2022 - 24 TOYOTA TUNDRA TRD Pro Rear Tail Gate Spoiler Cap Cover 76085-0C060 | eBay

Sorry, the pictures are all out of order. I'll add that the most challenging part was making sure the spaces holding the lights were snug enough to allow me to position the lights in a way that looked good on the outside. Once they were positioned, I used CA glue. Also, if you're wondering about the white wire, consider it red(hot) because I ran out of red wire.

Oh, and the electrical tape was used to hold down the wires because I didn't want to use loom or anything thick.

Nope, it's the exact same, apart from the screw holes and holes for the lights.

Pretty wild... I must say the OEM lights are pretty expensive. Nice job!

Question is where will you get the power from?

Running lights? What did you tap into for your rear fender flairs?

For the flairs, I got the rave offroad harness that ws plug and play from the rear taillight, no taps.

Misunderstood the directions and ended up in the woods (partially joking. Camping this weekend, so I’ll give it a go next week and keep you posted).

I felt the same way about the cost of the marker lights.. I ended up ordering the full set (trim piece + marker light) at a tax-free state during the Memorial Day sale. Ended up being around $700 I think for the full set, which in hindsight was prob not a good way to spend my money haha

Frankly, beyond MAYBE the purchase of these trucks, nothing we do to them is a good way to spend our money…smiles per gallon my dude, smiles per gallon.

It ended up being very easy...with Rave's harness slightly modified to work with my DIY lighting.
