Taking a poll here as I’ve been wrestling these options in my head. I came from a pro comp stage 2 2008 DC with 35” BFG KM3 or Toyo MT ran many all those years. At 200k miles started getting bad cupping. Bought SPC UCAs and coachbuilder steering kit to improve caster/camber and even tire wear. However I totaled my truck at about 200k miles and never installed the SPC or steering kit. I have both brand new in my garage waiting to install on my new tundra. I always enjoyed positives: extra ground clearance, height advantage in traffic, ability to work underneath without a jack, and look of a 6” lifted truck over the negatives: the disadvantages of parking in garages downtown/hotels, tire wear, drive shaft angle, lag in speed due to gears (can be adjusted with 4.88 or 5.29 but more $$$) and loading passengers or big items in and out of the bed. When I bought this used Tundra in 2018 it was supposed to be a stop gap. I luckily stumbled upon it looking for tundra wheels to swap on my totaled tundra. Just happened to find this quicksand beauty. I had been waiting with my 08 for something better than the 2.5 Gen/same engine trans as my 08. Toyota hyped up this 3rd Gen debut as if it was going to change the game. Only to be let down by the redesign. Granted we haven’t seen the TRD pros in person but I drove a new 22 TRD sport and was not impressed. Anyways given the latest 3rd Gen tundras availability plus wastegate issues and current new/used market my plan is to mod this truck how I want versus the previous owner. Only the P.O. did a good job with tasteful mods and not going over the top.

Which brings me to my current debate do I go from this pro comp 3/1 with 33’s to a

    1. BMC that can fit 35s with my SPC UCAs and maybe run nitro 4.88 save some coin for creature comforts- sound system, Katskinz, etc…

    2. Rough country vertex full coil over adjustable front and rear 6” lift?

    3. keep 33.5 tires and save up another $2k and go big with the TRD supercharger? I’ve already located one and can get it installed at a Toyota dealer for 1800 which is high but given current labor prices is not too bad. 12 month warranty from Toyota.

pic of how she currently sits: at first felt a bit short after coming from a 6” with 35s so I was dead set on that set up. However, I’m kind of liking the 3/1 and improved turning radius after 10 months of ownership.

argument against SC is better things to do with 8800-investments, kids college fund, etc plus with the current 3rd Gen, I feel most people will want a naturally aspirated v8 3UR FE

pros is I always wanted an SC life’s short and I have the money to do it. I hear it changes feel and driving experience completely but don’t know having never driven one

Get the Supercharger. I have a new born and I've already started saving for college. I plan on dropping in a magnuson too. You can have both!

Thanks Chip that’s what I’m leaning towards. Funny thing is my wife thinks I should lift it. Thinks the 3/1 set up doesn’t look as big or good as a full 6” suspension lift.

I would keep as is and add a little larger tire when the current ones need replacing. As much fun as a SC sounds I just wouldn't be able to drop that kind of cash on one for these trucks. If I wanted to go fast I'd just get a toy (sports car, bike, side by side).

Do what feels right at the end of the day. But if I want something, I'm figuring out how I can make it effectively free of charge for me lol.
