Poll: do you drink soup or eat it?

Is soup a drink or a food? It's thinner than a milkshake which is a drink, but has chunks(sometimes) that can't go in a straw.

 

If you have to use your teeth, your eating “it”

 

You eat the chunks of veggies and meat in it and then dump the rest down the sink.

 

When i make soup it’s chunky.
And people dont like it when i call chili ‘spicy meat soup’.

I don't use a spoon on drinks. I do use a spoon on soup. Therefore, not a drink.

 

I agree. I can't stand soup. It's pointless to me. It's just a hot drink with chunks of food in it. People get mad at me when I strain all the noodles, veggies and meat out to eat and leave the broth behind. Screw 'em. I'm hungry, not thirsty.

I’ve sometimes have to use a spoon on a Wendy’s milkshake. I mean, I don’t like doing this, so I try to wait for it to melt but, you know, those kind of start as food, and turn into beverages….

 

You need some Bread to soak up all that goodness and EAT it.

 

I prefer DQ Blizzards. But regardless, soft serve ice cream is not a drink.

Meh, I don't really care for the broth. Only the chucks of food suspended in it. One of the reasons I don't buy it that often is because the meat portion often tends to be inconsistent from can to can.

 

If it's liquid, you drink it. If it's solid, you eat it. If it's mixed, it's your option.

 

Is cereal..... breakfast soup?

 

Out here in the midwest, Wendy's only sells Frostys. I've yet to see a milkshake in a Wendy's.

So you’re saying campbells needs to update the name of their chunky soup to campbells stew? Have to put a call into corporate

 

So there was one time I was pretty drunk and went to make some chicken noodle soup. I grabbed a can out of the pantry and opened it and dumped it in the pot. I said "wtf is this chicken water shit?" to my gf. She says, "that's chicken broth drunk ass". I say "oh. Ok." then continued drinking my chicken water with a spoon.

 

Hmmm....we may have to form a committee to vote on that.
