Hi, I’m getting ready to do valve cover gaskets on a 2007 Tundra 5.7 & after recently fixing the coolant leak from heat exchange plate under intake & having to install a delete kit for the air intake pump because the brittle emissions tubes broke that go from the pump to manifolds, yeah they broke clean off of the manifold while trying to unbolt them trying to get to heat exchange plate & replacing the exhaust manifolds is too expensive, thank goodness for a delete kit..anyway my issue is that I need to replace valve cover gaskets but after the nightmare dealing with the coolant leak and seeing the metal tubes going across the top of passenger side valve cover I’m kind of skeptical of proceeding without some tips..pretty sure I can do drivers side without any issues but I’m not sure about the passenger side..there are tubes right on top of cover running to the back and behind the engine, idk how they bolt up or anything & I’m scared to touch them the way those others broke off..Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Are those the tubes to the heater core you are talking about? I did mine last summer and had no issues with those. If anything is brittle, probably wanna replace it anyway.

Yes, I went and took a better look at them. I was worried about how they hooked up between back of engine and firewall, I was worried they might be a pain or even break but after a closer examination I realized the metal tubes ran to rubber hoses and will flex and be easy to move out of the way of valve cover. Thank you for your reply though!
