So I just had my engine replaced and 1000 miles later I'm getting weird codes and it lags like it has no power. Here are some pictures of the codes. Could a bad battery cause this?

I’m no tech but my first thought reading those codes is a lose or bad connector on the shifter linkage or the gear sensor wiring from the trans. (Both sound related to the same connection problem) Maybe they didn’t get something plugged back together tight. 11K miles left in that warranty.

I agree with @PNW Tundra Mike - it could very well be a connector.

A low battery would also be plausible.

I assume it is still under warranty - why not cal the dealership and have them look at it?

Take it back to the dealer that did the work. They owe you proper work. It's still under warranty. A motor swap on a newer vehicle with an engine, transmission and electrical system as complicated as this one leaves a bit of room for error if not very detail oriented. Also some tight spaces to work in. Probably a connector that did not get fully seated.

I'm at the dealer in Huntington beach. I have a 3+ hour wait and I'm over 200 miles from home. With all the problems I'm having it has to be something simple. I can't imagine all those systems failed all at once.

What did HB find? You’re right, just leave your gas cap lose and you’ll have a Christmas parade across your dash as well as both cruise controls, lane trace assist, parking assist and a host of others all deactivated. Ridiculous.

I have a continuing Start/Stop error code myself after the swap. I have cleared it a few times and it pops back. I need to update my post in the swap thread, but I made an appointment next week to get it fixed. To be fair it has been nice not having to press the button to disable the start/stop function but the screen yelling at me is getting old. It’s likely a connection from the swap I am sure.

Edited to add that otherwise the engine is excellent

So far they said it's definitely a short in the harness somewhere. The fun part is HB wouldn't touch my truck until I agreed on the diagnostic charge of $1100. They say it's not their fault that my dealer messed it up. I thought since this is a Toyota recall it should be covered anywhere?

Call Toyota Corporate. Every dealer is supposed to honor warranty

They are saying the problem is the neutral safety switch.

Actually these Ass@#$&% just stopped working on my truck and didn't tell me. Wouldn't update me. When I asked for an update they said hang tight I'll be right back and never came back. I spent 5 days here for nothing! Now I'm waiting for a tow truck to tow me and my truck home 225 miles away. I WILL NEVER GO TO HUNTINGTON BEACH TOYOTA AGAIN!!! Also saw a guy come out of the sales office cussing them out for trying to make a sketchy deal today.

If you have a warranty WHICH YOU SHOULD there is a Toyota number you can call and Toyota will pay for the tow and a hotel if need be. Just find that number in your toyota book. These dealerships clowns seem like they need to be paying YOU

Damn and I thought I had it bad with a loose connector on the fuel tank after the engine swap. Weird that they wanted $1100 - my dealer’s diagnostic charge is one hour of shop rate, $212. At least my dealer fixed mine for free. Toyota will make it right, shame on HB. Sucks that we have to deal with this type of stuff for a recall that some (myself included) didn’t even want to do to a perfectly running engine. Make sure you leave a nice review for HB!

Sucks but sounds like small claims court time for the 1100, time and stress ////let HB prove the charges to the judge.

I have a case through Toyota Corporation and I went off on all three service writers including the manager so they waived the 1100 buck.
