    Hey there Tundra crew,
I'm not testing the waters or trying to sell or advertise with this thread.
I'm just trying to get honest opinions from my fellow Tundra peeps on the possible value of my truck.
Just so I have an idea where to start with my asking price, when I do list it for sale up here in Alaska, probably in a couple days.
I still owe 10k on the damn thing and
It's been setting with a blown up engine for a little over a year now, so we've decided to sell my CM Tundra rather than fix it , mainly because I really don't have the time or coin to deal with it right now.
And, because I scored an '07 RCSB, 5.7, 4x4, that will be my daily.
Plus, it's time for my wife to upgrade her ride and get what she wants and get out of the POS she's been driving for a hundred years ,so unfortunately it's time for the Crewmax to go.

Here's what I'm bringing to the party...
    2012 Crewmax , 4x4, pyrite mica
    94,969 miles
    S/C'd 5.7
    6" pro-comp lift.
    Amp research electric running boards.
    Airlift airbags on the rear.
    Katzkins inside.
    Color matched fender flares.
    Pioneer head unit.
    New 20"cooper stt pro's.
Everything was dealer installed and I am the 2nd owner.
    That's the good about it.

    The bad things are...
Engine needs replaced/rebuilt.( Burns oil, not drivable)
Rear axle seals are starting to leak a little bit.
It has chrome shit all over it from the original owner.
    And it needs a wash/wax.

I'll wash it and get some better pics ASAP. But here's the ones I have at this moment.
Thank you in advance for your input on the value of my Tundra, I appreciate it.

Couldn't tell from the pics but it's a 50/50 shot between it being an intake or exhaust valve.

I think I would go auction route, set a reserve based on how much time you have to move it. Really ez to start high and work your way down over time.

That is a nice looking truck. Too bad about the motor. Unfortunately it will be hard to sell for more than $2-3k as is.

A replacement engine could bring your value to $15 k or higher. Have you looked into it or done the math?

Would be a great "Mechanics Special".

$10k would be a fair price. I've been watching CoPart auctions and they're getting stupid money for those wrecks. You should be happy to walk away from the truck and its payments at this point.

If you're short on funds, you could maybe look at a loan for repair costs, then sell a good running truck to pay off both loans and possibly some profit depends on repair costs. I'm guessing rebuild the heads and roll but who knows without a good look.

I gotta agree - prices on these even in this mechanical condition will surprise the typical buyer.

What gives it “value” is the rebuild is labor intensive - but labor cost nothing to a small dealer using their own labor. Fixed up it’s gonna attract a buyer.

Obviously it’s not a 40k truck - but fixed, I could easily see 8-12k depending on buyer/location. So I’d take 1500-2k off that range and say 6500-7500. Auction setting - it may actually bring 10k - but it might be lucky to draw 5500 too.

This thing would draw serious interest in some markets - like smaller buy here-pay here lots…they buy for 7500, fix and toss on a few lights and then offer it for 2k down - 150-250 bi-weekly for 48 months (104 payments netting them 15-25k) - worst (or is it best for them) buyer defaults-they repo and repeat.

Not a lot of Tundras find their way into these places and their buyers LOVE Toyota reliability.
