Hey guys, I'm new to posing here (so I hope I've posted this in the correct thread.)
New...but have been visiting, watching, and reading tons of different topics on here for forever now.
Finally decided to become an official member of the 'Tundra Gang' & pull the trigger on a new purchase & was hoping to get some insight from you guys.
I've been searching for months now & have narrowed it down to 2........(ok maybe more like 4)
The main 2 are Limiteds. A pure white 2019 with 30k miles on it for $40K otd located in NC...
A Cement Gray 2018 Limited with 19k miles on it located in my home sate of GA for $42.5K otd...(down from $44.5K otd)

Then there are 2 others which I'm kinda sorta considering as last resorts which are a 2018 Pure White 2wd 1794 w/22k miles in Fla for $44K otd, & a 2020 MGM Limited in Tx with 7K miles on it for $43k otd but carfax shows 2 "minor" accidents on its record.
No trade in..no finance..just an all cash purchase & I will drive my new baby home from wherever I purchase her. I'll travel just about anywhere for a good deal on a great truck, but
I'm really torn between the 2 Limiteds ( the '18 & the '19) bcuz I feel like I'd be over paying for the '18....but idk really bcuz I possess this rather unique skill of shooting myself in the foot while simultaneously looking a gift horse in the mouth so please keep said skill in mind when offering your advice.

Any help would truly be greatly appreciated guys.
    Thanks in advance!

Do you tow much. If so, I’d go with the 2018 Cement. 2019+ do not have transmission coolers.

    Welcome from NY.

It depends on the features you need/want.

    2018, have a transmission cooler
    2019 +, no transmission cooler

19's & 20's may have keyless entries and Apple Car Play where 18' don't.

    Good luck with your decision.

    Thanks Squeaky.
And no, honestly I will hardly tow much save for a couple scooters or the occasional equipment rental from Home Depot..
And yeah I really like the '18 Cement...but you dont think that price is a little inflated?

Damn... I'd be tied to, but I'd go with the '18, since it will save you money in modifying the add in transmission cooler like stated before, and you can put that toward something more useful, like wheels and lift...... I highly doubt you will shoot yourself in the foot, as most of these have held on to their resale value as the 18 has..... Ultimately its on you though.... I'm a lowly original 07 owner with 229k on the clock... soo.. good luck on your decision.

Probably a little high, but the used Tundra market is crazy right now. Does OTD include sales tax? If so, $42.5k is a very fare deal.

Thanks. That's really helping in my decision making process cuz I'd much prefer the transmission cooler over Apple Car play which I can always add later if I really wanted it.
    Thanks a bunch.

Thanks. That makes a lot of sense.
With that said...you don't think I'm being taken for a ride at $42.5K otd on the '18 Cement Limited?

Black has been carefully documented by the Toyota of America Scientific Community* as the fastest of all Tundra colors. This is undisputable fact. That makes white (being at the opposing end of spectrum) the slowest. You'll be middle of the field with grey so of your candidates I would go Cement.

*Toyota of America Scientific Community is a non-profit group of Black Toyota Tundra owners who will perpetually lay claims to having the fastest of all colors. Tundras.com does not condone illegal racing activities and this has not permitted the claims of the Toyota of America Scientific Community to be substantiated within this forum.

2018 Cement all day long. In my market, that’s a pretty decent deal with those miles.

I'm sure you can negotiate that down... fake a family member DUI and be ready to walk out... I paid 30 for mine in 07, and I walked out of the dealership, because I literally had to bail someone out for a DUI...

Scratch the one that had minor accidents. You'd likely uncover more issues

Are the first two four wheel drive? I would prioritize that above other options, you may never need it but boy is it sure handy if you do! Also, four wheel drive trucks retain their value better. I believe some others may've mentioned it but if you don't need the seat warmers or fake leather and extra chrome the limited provides you will be much better served getting a new SR5, it would be close to what your paying used for the limited package trucks. You could always add Katskins and seat warmers later if you had to have it.

No none of the ones I'm looking at have 4wd which I personally don't mind not having but I do agree that what you say about the 4X4s retaining their value better..but all in all I think ALL Tundras retain their value not only well...but better than any other truck on the market.
