So you're going to get one of those, a white hood bulge, and paint the insert black?

It comes out. A little bit if work, there's probably a dozen clips that are fragile buy it's not horrible. I replaced my platinum insert with a pro insert. Took about an hour or so

Heat up the clips prior to prying them to prevent snapping.

They break off pretty easily but breaking a couple really won't affect it when you put it back on. I was thinking next time I was going to shove paper clips or something in a few of them to help get them off wiffout breaking them.

The black tabs? No, there's no way to put them back on. It's all a giant single piece of plastic and if they break, they're gone. But there's a lot of them so it's ok to lose a couple.

I'm going to have to do it again soon. I peeled some plastidip with my pressure washer. I'm going to paint it this time, what I should have done the first time.

ITs pretty shitty that every time you remove the grille the clips break... they should have done that some other way to make it last.. once or twice and it's not gonna go on anymore

I think once you get it off the first time, they're less likely to break after that. Lots of people don't break any the second time.

And the tabs are actually on the surround, not on the insert.

Color match doesn't always match. Put it up to your truck and make sure it's close in color.
