Has anyone removed the plastic behind the rear seat, drivers side? Looking for experience/advice before I start ripping it out! I am wanting to know if there is enough room to add a subwoofer in a box. I'm sure there is, Taco Tunes has done it. Not looking to win any competitions, just want to add a little bass. Something other than a low profile sub under the front seat(even though my wife would probably like it there LOL) or the rear under seat storage. Just looking for info on removing the plastic piece. see picture. Thanks!

I will be removing the passenger side in a few days because I want to route a small cable through any penetration I can find in that rear cab wall. I'll let you know how that goes, maybe it also applies to the drivers side. Would appreciate anything you learn about the drivers side too :) thanks.

How did it look behind the plastic of that rear seat? I'm thinking of mounting something to help w/ organization and would need to drill into plastic. Safe? Insane? Thanks!

Did anyone ever remove the plastic behind the rear seats? With pictures or maybe a picture of a page from a service manual? Thanks!

I know this is an old post but I removed mine looking to replace the sub it's basically just a plastic cover to hide the metal if I remember right it's just clips that hold it in

Did anyone happen to get a part number for the panel?

Disconnect the center seatbelt. Then fold up the seat bottoms and remove the 14mm bolts from underneath. Then put the seat bottoms back down and pull the lanyards to disconnect the seat backs from the cab wall. Then lift up to disengage the guide pins that mate the seat bottom with the seat frame. Pull out the seat. Then the small drivers side wall is all clips. The passenger side has a few 10mm bolts for the jack mounting stuff as well as clips. Shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes to do this.

I don't see why someone couldn't use the OEM tray as the back half for an aftermarket subwoofer enclosure.
