Pioneer DMH2600NEX in 2016

I posted about this in the second gen but it's probably more relevant here.

I installed this using the following parts
maestro: RR interface controller, HrTO2 cable assy, USB adapter
red wolf antenna adapter
Metra dash bracket.
Now have Carplay (head unit supports Android Auto as well), tire pressure screen, gauge data from OBD II, all the steering wheel controls work and of course hands free calling, and text reading and response. The door ajar screen includes the hood which the center gauge display does not. can wake up Siri from the steering wheel as well.

Not sure if you can see it but I drilled a small hole in the Metra mount and used it for the microphone Just a couple drops of epoxy on the backside to hold it on place.

 

Never would have thought to put the mic there..

Thanks, I'd seen a youtube video where the guy drilled a hole just below the A/C vent, but I couldn't see drilling in a factory panel when the bezel was only $25. So if I didn't like it cheap to fix.

 

I put my mic in one of the switch blanks at the bottom.
