I have a 2008 Tundra with JBL that I installed a Pioneer AVIC-w8400/Maestro RR/TO1 in three years ago. Everything was working mostly ok, I had random issues with audio randomly cutting out, or no audio at all from start up, or not sensing the speed sensor, but then the radio would not power on at all. I checked the fuses on the truck and they were good. I removed the radio and the fuse on the Maestro harness was bad and I replaced it. The fuse on the radio was good. When the radio was reinstalled it would still not power on. I removed it and bench tested it and the radio powered up without using the TO1 harness, so I began checking for continuity in the TO1 harness.

The ACC/red wire does not appear to be continuous from the the Pioneer radio harness to the beginning of the TO1 harness, so I traced the ACC wire. While tracing the ACC wire from the Pioneer radio harness, I noticed that it leads to one of the two plugs that I do not have a mate to on my truck's wiring harness. On the TO1 harness plug that plugs in my factory harness, the ACC wire is red with a black line and connects to the green Maestro plug. The constant power and ground appear to be continuous from the beginning of the TO1 harness to radio harness. Does anyone know if the ACC power from the TO1 harness goes through the Maestro unit and then to the radio? If so, I assume that means the Maestro must be installed for the radio to power on? Can anyone confirm that I only need to connect two of the four plugs from the Maestro to my factory harness.

Another issue is that I don't think I'm getting constant power from the factory harness. I rechecked the fuses and they were still good. I checked for power at the factory harness and I definitely have ACC power and a good ground, but I don't appear to have constant. I am most likely just going to find a open constant slot in my dash fuse panel and run a new wire to the radio.

    Any other suggestions?
