I'm thinking of getting another phone. I don't use all the crazy stuff that all the top tier phones have. I use a lil social media, talk, text, GET ON HERE....ALOT, bit of gps, then bits of web browsing. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 Active that I've had for 3 years. It still works fine and all, but I'm trying to find something before I NEED one. I'm not an apple guy, so don't try. I'm not wanting to spend $750+ on a phone! Anyone have any luck with the mid tier phones like the Samsung A series phones? Or....have any luck with the renewed phones that Amazon offers. The reason I put in this thread/forum, is because if you have something like the A series phones....do they connect ok to the truck? I have a 2017 SR5 and haven't had any issues with the truck connecting to the phone. Thanks in advance.
P.S....you can rip me all you want for wanting to spend a lot less on a phone...i don't care:crapstorm:

Have you looked at what promo's your phone company currently has? That's usually the way to go since they knock off a lot of the phone price to renew your contract and often will give a trade in on your current phone. I know you're not an apple guy, but just an example: AT&T contacted me and said they are offering the new iPhone 12 for $199 with a trade in of an 8 or newer. Not sure of the Samsung/Android equivalent.

I'll have to check that out as well. Thnx man!
I've looked online and havent seen any, but will check again. Since them and DirecTV are owned by same company, I've noticed being a loyal customer doesnt mean squat, but come in as a new customer and here is a great promo we're running! Or, I'm a disgruntled employee who is going to spend an hour on the phone trying to cancel and they'll keep lowering you monthly bill. Lol. I loved it when best buy had they trade in your 2 year old phone in good condition and we'll give you a $200 credit. And here's a brand new released phone for $150! Now, not so much. They lost on that a lot I'm sure in terms of phone sell/buy/trade.
