Petition to get Toyota to resolve Secondary Air Injection problem

It saddens me that a company that I've been loyal to for over 30 years has let a problem like this continue at the consumers expense. Please pass this on to anyone you know has had the same problems. My truck is in "limp" mode now and I'm on the 3rd repair for the same problem.

Seems their site is having issues. It's bringing up an error. What's the problem you're referencing? I guess I'm not familiar with it.

Having trouble loading up the site. Ridiculous that you’re having to get this fixed for the 3rd time.

 

Toyota will address this issue in 2021...no mo 5.7, hybrid instead.

I have a 2006 Tundra and have been having this issue for about 1.5 years now off and on. It's a sucking/high pitched whizzing sound for about 30 seconds to 1 minute after starting the truck, but only occasoinally. Check Engine light is sporadic. It will code with the light off. Says secondary air injection valve like you've stated.

However, I have not experiencing "limp" mode. The truck runs fine and the noise goes away after about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Then I hear a noise like a vacuum finally got pressure and closed the valve.

What can I expect with this? How long can I expect this to hold on before it gives up? I can go weeks without it happening and then it will do it once a day for a week or so. It's really random.
