Hey guys just needing some help.

I plan on getting an Icon Stage 1 kit for my 2010 (really wanted fox 2.5 but they don't come in a kit like the Icon's or at least that I can find) and saw the kit on this website and it's a pretty good price but didn't know if anyone has any past experience or knowledge on this website.

Any and all info would be helpful.

I have read that folks have had issues with the Icon shocks- leaking, not lasting, rust.....several posts here. Do a search of icon shock and then icon suspension and you should get all the information you ever wanted to read.

Yea like I said I would like fox shocks over the Icon's but the Icon's 1. go to 3.5 if maxed out and 2. they come as a stage 1 kit where fox doesnt.

All shocks end up leaking and the main ones, including icons can be rebuilt.... most of those kits are less than$50 a shock

Agreed, I'm in TX as well. I've read a thread or two about the Icon's leaking, but I've never read anything about them rusting. Kings and Fox are known to rust or the finish change on them, but like I mentioned earlier all of these leak eventually and need the seals changed. I'd be willing to bet that the ones reporting the leaks probably just needed to have their shocks charged up. Either way good luck with whichever kit or shocks you go with.

My fox 2.5s can go to 4” all day. If you want a kit just piece together yourself. Would actually be better that way you can get what you want.icon sells everything separate if you like their UCAs or leaf packs etc

I was dead set on Fox for almost a year now but started changing my mind slowly or being open to other companies like Toytec and Icon. @xtyfighterx can you really go above 2.5 of lift with Fox? I thought MAX on them was 2.5? and if so how did you do that?

Personally wanted to do Fox 2.5 all the way around but basic with no DCS or anything, run coach builder shackles in the rear and eventually upgrade the UCA to total chaos, Icon, or Camburg and call it a day.

2.5 of referring to the body diameter not the height....out of the box I was at 4” I have like 3 threads showing almost no preload I’m sitting dead center at 3” up front. I had to lower them almost all all the way to get to 3”

You can go higher on all of them, but if you go above 3 inches you're adding way too much preload. I think if your 2wd then you can safely add just a touch more then 3 inches because you have less weight on the front... but that's more of a guess on my part.

Also wanting to fit Method NV's at 17" with as much of a offset as possible.

I have Icons for about 2 years and no issues here. I’ve done business with performance lifts. Bought a complete CST spindle setup from them. They also have good pricing on items
