Passenger seatbelt sensor problem

I’ve searched and couldn’t find anything.

My problem is when my front seat passenger gets out the light on the dash flashes and the seat belt chime goes off. It senses there’s still a passenger and their seatbelt is not on even though there is no one in the passenger seat. I have to buckle the seatbelt for maybe 30 seconds and then I can unbuckle it and everything is fine. What might be causing this and how do I fix it? It’s pretty annoying.

 

Your sensor is probably malfunctioning in the seat. You can turn off the chime with techstream.

 

Did you ever find a fix for this? My 3 week old 20 Tundra is doing the exact same thing for the passenger seat.

 

Your truck is under warranty. Dealer issue.
