I have a 2000 Tundra with 157,000 miles on it. Toyota replaced the frame for free back in July and I had an additional $3500 worth of new parts replaced (tie rods, ball joints, etc) at the same time. I fully intended to drive it for another 20 years……until October 4th when an 88 year old lady pulled out in front of me and I T boned her, damaging the front end of my truck. The body shop where it sits initially told me that she might not be able to find parts to repair it, specifically the bracket that holds the bumper to the frame, the bumper and other stuff. I am still awaiting word on whether she can locate all the parts needed to make the repairs but when I look on line for these kinds of parts, find them available on Toyota parts sites. Am I (or is the body shop) missing something here? Are parts (new or used) really not available? I would appreciate anyone who knows of reliable sources for parts for the 2000 Tundra responding. Thanks!

www.car-part.com is an exceptional resource. I found JTD site linked above is good for specific internals and drivetrain parts. Granted, I'm sure they can get frame parts, but it may not be feasible to ship. Car-part.com help find more-local sources.

Not surprising since its well beyond the legal limit a manufacturer is required to produce parts for discontinued vehicles which is 10 years BTW.

You can't expect the aftermarket to produce every part for replacement so you're forced into looking at salvage vehicles for replacement.
