    Morning!

I am trying to figure out two parts for my 2017 SR5. Upper and lower steering column cover/shrouds for "no memory", "with telescope" steering column. I am worried the ones I have ordered will have the column shifting cutout. Basically the one that can adjust up and down, but not forwards and backwards.

It would insanely helpful if someone with a 2017ish truck without a column shifter, and a steering wheel that only adjusts up and down, but not forward backwards, could pop off their covers and peek at the part number.

Can anyone confirm the parts listed below will work and not have the opening for the column shifter?

    45287-0C120-C0 Lower Column Cover $85.45 1 $85.45

    45286-0C050-C0 Upper Column Cover $42.15 1 $42.15

Your link for the lower says "with telescopic" in the part description. These should be the correct upper and lower.

Telescopic should be forward and backwards. Memory should be electronic.

That's what I thought as well. Here is some backstory.

My truck had a bad rattle that was traced back to something in the steering column.

After a lot of digging around in there, I gave up and ordered a new column. Part #45250-0C250 "Tundra. Without memory package. With telescopic." I also thought memory would be electronic which my truck did not have so I picked the part without it.

I brought the new part to a shop and they installed it, only noticing that it adjusts up/down, NOT front/back, after it was fully installed. My old column did both, but once it was pulled out I noticed it was a different part.. 45250-0C260 "Tundra. Sequoia. Limited, sr5. With memory package." #250 vs #260. My truck did not have electronic adjustment which leads me to believe they are calling "memory" the forward/back adjustment and telescope the up/down.

The covers for OC260 don't fit on OC250. So I figured I would just buy the covers that state "without memory, with telescopic" like the new column thats in there. My only fear is there might be a notch cut out in the covers for a column shifter.

Sounds right. But doesn't explain why these two parts do what they do unless Im confused.

Part #45250-0C250, $412 "Tundra. Without memory package. With telescopic." This one goes up down only. Was just put in my truck yesterday.

Part #45250-0C260, $833 "Tundra. Sequoia. Limited, sr5. With memory package." This one goes up and down, forwards and backwards. No power adjustments.
Was removed from my truck yesterday.

Part#45250-OC240, $1800 "Tundra. With power tilt. Without memory. Without telescopic. I guess this one adds the electronic adjustment?

Its all weird to me, but really what I need to figure out now is which c
Much appreciated! I understand what you are saying but I have Part #45250-0C250, $412 "Tundra. Without memory package. With telescope" in my truck right now and it only tilts. Definitely not in/out. I can clearly see the label on both the part itself, and the box Toyota parts box.

    https://www.sparksparts.com/oem-parts/toyota-steering-column-452500c250

No power adjustments. Long story short, I accidently had the steering column replaced with #45250-0C250, not #45250-0C260. I lose in/out but never used it and would have to pay more for the part plus labor again for the re-install.

The column covers that fit 0C260 (tilt+in/out), don't fit 0C250 (tilt). I've ordered the two covers in my original post, but can't figure out if they have the cutout for a column shifter, which would look bad.

Dang it. So the covers I ordered for this tilt only column will have the slot/brushes for a column shifter? Are my options to 1) just deal with that 2) order the right column and have it re-installed, return wrong part?

Thanks for all the help Ryan! I guess I'll wait and see how big the hole is on the new covers. This little rattle is getting expensive very quickly.

I talked to Sparks but they were pretty adamant that the part I have installed already would need to be in pristine condition in order to return it and get the new column.

I have a friend who is convinced he can 3D print a little cover, for the column shifter holes. Ill leave the order and see what he can come up with.
