Parts from Sparks

Is there any kind of "buddy system" for getting parts moved through forum members I was about to order a new much needed tailgate from sparks for super cheap.... until they tacked on $520 for shipping.

 

Have you checked your local dealer(s) to see if they'll match Sparks price or any other Toyota online dealer? I used to do it with a dealer in the next city over several years ago for my Taco parts but not sure if they still do. I'll have to test it with parts for my Tundra.

 

Through today (8/26) many SE US online dealers are offering 25% off and free shipping over $75. I don't know if it'd include a tailgate, but you can check it out at https://autoparts.toyotaofdecatur.com/. And they discount their stock, too.

 

Yes, they discounted 200 off the shipping. Bringing it to the same cost of just picking it up from my local dealer.

Hey I appreciate this post! That dealership is 4.5 hrs from me. Ordered my tailgate from them and I'm just going to pick it up myself.
