Anyone one ever fail their truck inspection due to a parking brake not holding up to 1500rpm? I just got denied my inspection for this.

How do you adjust your parking brake??

TRD Sway bar. Deck Rails, Maxliner rear floor mat, Driver side grab handle. Dee Zee bed mat
Don’t run the pedal to the floor. About 7-8 clicks.

    TEXAS!
before my suggestion, i bet you went early in the morning, and on a slow appointment day...

unsure how to adjust the parking brake (can't help there), however, i would like to make a suggestion, as i too "failed" because of this parking brake b/s.

if you take your pickup to a mechanic shop early on a saturday, and they don't have any appointments scheduled (slow day), they will call this, and all sorts of other crap to charge big bucks, and keep their "techs" busy.

i believe those thieves got $40 out of me on that one...

it is NOTHING more than a revenue grab.

as mentioned above, i did get called on this crap... ONCE... paid the $40 and had them adjust.

adjustments were made alright... by ME. i NEVER went to a mechanic shop for an inspection any earlier than 15 minutes before they close.

it's quite amazing how QUICKLY they'll pass an inspection on a saturday at 5:45 PM!

that shop went out of business very shortly after. it was called DRIVERS AUTOMOTIVE. had quite a few locations around the houston area.

if i were you, i'd go to another shop, and right before they close.

additionally, i would tell those thieves to F-off, let them keep the mandatory, non-refundable fee, and go elsewhere just on principle. yes, you'll pay twice, but they'll be out of business in short order. delayed satisfaction!

additional and unnecessary information: the chain shop that bought that place has been doing very well for 5+ years. what was that golden rule we were all taught in kindergarten?? do unto others...

Yes, I adjusted my 2017 using this video a couple of months ago. The parking brake actually holds now and doesn't go all the way to the floor.
