Just back in in the center of the line right down the middle of the truck, works perfect every time. Re-purposed from aviation industry like the instrument landing system, ILS.

 

This is almost exactly what I did.
To park my truck in the garage there was only 1 spot where I could open all 4 doors + the tailgate and not hit something like my drill press, forge, anvil, welders or table saw. I added a cross line of red tape, perpendicular, so I could stop at the exact location every time. Didn’t really think about that aviation aspect although I did work out on the airport for a few years.
