    Hey all,

I’m probably in the minority here as liking the OEM shift knob. However, I’d like it better if it were all black since I’m about to buy the AJT chrome delete. Has anyone here painted one? If so, does it come apart or would I just need to tape it? Thanks for any help.

You will have to tape it off. Use SEM trim black, not regular spray paint. You can use it on all of the chrome and silver inside, and much cheaper than AJT.

Did you use the SEM prep or just clean the parts and use the paint?
Did you use SEM 39143 or 15243?

    Thanks

Yeah I’ve seen that you used that and I like the idea. My only issue is that right now my garage has been converted to a virtual school, so my space to do that is very limited.

    Thank you.
I may end up ditching the silver on the steering wheel and doors after all...
