After a total of four stops today no mas check engine light. Waited till evening to check codes with a meh digital code scanner tool and sure enough it had a P2442 stored.
I then Erased the code and rechecked, it read no stored engine codes Wich is great cause I'm due an emissions / registration inspection (Harris County TX)
    Here's the 280$ QUESTION......
When / Will it comes back on ??
    I'm 60/40% thinking at 237k it must come back on....but when ?
I've already purchased the secondary air injection valve assembly two side gaskets and a upper air intake gasket set just for good measure all of Wich could easily be refunded till 30 days. I was actually gonna drop it off last nite at mt mechanics house.
I want to drive it every day as normal for a week or two and see if I get any codes on the scanner.
I haven't received my registration renewal form yet otherwise I'd get that out the way.
I asked a Toyota tech here, thank God there's at least one the will answer questions.... I got some great input from him...He also believes it's most likely gonna die lol just wait and see after all it is driveable just loss of power when lit.
I took these pictures just outs curiosity now I'm more baffled .
Does air come in the front side facing the front of the truck and out the sides to the two pumps behind the front pass wheel or vice versa ???

Air comes in the front of the valves and exits the side to the tubes that go to the exhaust manifold

I would expect that the valves are on their way out if you don’t replace them now be sure you keep a code reader in your truck so you could erase the codes so you can limp home. I would replace them now

Are the valves you bought OEM or aftermarket?
