I have the dreaded p2440 code now and it won't clear with an obd scanner. The issue with the saip system arose several months ago but I was able to clear it and would usually come on after several starts up. Not sure if the prior codes were p2440 but they were saip codes. I know there was an 10yr 150k warranty period for 2nd gen trucks and I'm wondering if anyone was able to have the dealership fix it after the 10 year period expired. My truck is an 5.7 2008 with 132k...

I doubt they will fix it, since it's either 10yr or 150k whichever happens first. If you're not in an Cali, you can look up the bypass on this site and go that route. Otherwise, if it's really required to pass emissions, you may need to invest a significant amount in replacing the system.
