If you have this code after changing your plugs. Change the harness to the b sensor on the passenger side. It’s the bottom cam sensor, bank 2 sensor b. I could not believe it was so simple. I had that code from cranking after changing plugs. I went back a week later and pulled on the harness for this cam sensor and the wires came out so easy. I could absolutely not believe it was so simple. I see so many post about this with no real resolution. Two pack of the harness’s was 17 bucks on Amazon and worth every penny I spent on it!! I’m assuming stress gets put on this harness when pulling the coils to change the plugs.

So the wires just pulled cleanly out of the sensor plug, wow. That crimping effect must have been about useless. Wonder how many
others are chasing rabbits down rabbit holes to find problems caused by such as this.

That’s exactly why I wanted to post some info on this code because I see a lot of p0393 with no end to the story. I almost let the dealer have a swipe cause I was flustered with it. But their 190 hookup/diag fee was annoying me. So I spent 149 at hf for a reader and did some digging. If you haven’t, check out south main auto on YouTube. That guy finds so many things like this that the dealer hits you with the cost of the whole harness and sensor when you just needed a new end put on.

Just shared this over on an other post where the ride had been to 5 other mechanics and no one could find the problem for misfires on all cylinders. Don' know if this was the problem, but it very well could be.
