Tired of hearing all the complaining about the new Tundra when you yourself have a great (or even just a good) one? Let's share those reviews, pics, and stories!

As someone on the fence about their upcoming order, it can't hurt to step away from the negative (especially when every truck is gonna have negatives), and start hearing about why Toyota has it's loyal fanbase.

Get people like me off the fence and into their next Tundra!
Let's hear and see those stories!

I have a little over 5000kms on mine so far. Zero problems, zero QC issues, absolutely none of the things people seems to complain about. A few little nitpicks here and there, but nothing more serious than any nitpick I've had about any truck I've ever owned or driven.

So trucks is pretty good. Lots of technology and new features. Fast and powerful. Big back window that opens! 20mpg on freeway, city is still at 12 but hopefully it'll improve as I'm only at 1.5k miles

Your best bet is to watch all of the YouTube reviews.

Does have delay with acceleration from stop signs sometimes, may delay by about a second when pressing gas pedal

Whistles on the freeway above 50mph from the driver side window, and can hear wind noise while driving fast. My ram 1500 2013 was quieter.

Regular non Trd suspension handles like a boat and has bumpy ride.

All of these things I'll get eventually fixed, either dealer software update or some other fix.

You don't really have a lot of other options out there if you want a reliable truck without major issues after 100k...

22 limited off road. allocated late january. Built Feb 27, arrived to dealer on march 14, took delivery march 19. only issue i ran into was around 2k miles the gas gauge was off but that fixed itself after a top off. I'm at almost 10k miles now and no issues. no cracks, wind noise etc.

Have a 22 model 1794 purchased in March with 9000 miles without any problems. I do carry 100 lbs in bed to smooth out the ride but overall am happy with this truck.

9000 miles of truck life (pulling our toyhauler, dirt bikes, mt bikes, camping, hauling wood, dogs, kids) and haven't had any issues. Very happy with the truck, the performance and the mileage. Thought I got it stuck in a ditch yesterday in the snow and used the crawl mode and it pulled itself out of the ditch. Went from a Ram diesel to this and while it won't haul the payload the Ram did, it does everything else much better. Totally happy with the truck

2022 1794 with no issues after 5,000 miles. I adjusted the air bag levers to stop the bump stops from hitting and since then the truck has been flawless. Very soft ride and no rattles or wind noise.

I took delivery of my truck on 12/15/21. Almost exactly 1 year later, over over 17k miles, and a ton of mods later...I still love this truck. It's still got a few big ticket mods left in the queue as well.

2022 TRD OR in Lunar Rock - first Toyota truck ever. Not the first Toyota in the family though. I have come from 10 or so domestic trucks in a row with zero brand loyalty.

    First 4000kms, issues ---
    - Zero significant issues and none of the significant issues I have read on here.
    - Biggest annoyance is the slipperiness of the box and it rattles a little - fixed that with a bedrug and kept poking at the box until I found the rattle and then pushed in some foam into that space and its pretty much silent.
    - One minor trim alignment issue (will get adjusted at first service and I am picky) and
    - A few things that seem strange to me but its really just me getting used to a new brand - it actually seems way more intuitive than when I have switched brands in the past.

    Fuel mileage ---
    - Great on highway if I take it a little easy (say no more that 115km/h or 70ish MPH), I am getting right around 10.5 l/100km which is about 22.5 MPG (USA gallon) on regular
    - I expect that I will do better in better weather months where I am not using remote start
    - I also figured out the Auto Stop does not activate when you have the defrost on
    - I have not really used ECO mode just left it in normal but I think 24 MPG is easily possible under right conditions (and before new tires).

    Power and driving ---
    - Reasonable power and the 10 speed auto works well with this engine; It is not a V8, it would smoke my 2019 GMC Sierra V8 in my seat of the pants testing
    - I have not towed yet so I guess I will see on that
    - I have experienced a couple times where the transmission clunked/hesitated once or twice... same as every other truck I have owned.
    - Stock tires suck and it is pretty soft but feel, ride and cornering are great for a truck.

    Odds and ends ---
    - Tires, wheels, steps and some suspension work will make the truck way better in my opinion but I like it stock a lot.
    - Great looking truck, better when I colour match the mustache, get a lot of comments - probably because they are still relatively rare in the great white north.

Overall its not perfect but I have never driven a truck that was - so 4.5/5 stars.
If I blew a turbo or something, I would be pissed and I would expect Toyota to make it right, right now or I would be a pain for the dealer and others. It does suck that some have experienced those kind of issues.

about 4 months into ownership. I've had nothing but positive experience with the truck(knock on wood).. can't say the same about dealerships in my new area.

truck is quick (granted, I came from an offroad built 4Runner, so anything is faster than that thing), great tech package.

First vehicle i've driven to get me from Chicago to Knoxville on the same tank.

Waited 14 months, from just before Toyota released the new Tundra, to taking delivery of my Solar Octane TRD Pro in October. Put 4,100 kms on it and love it. I briefly owned a 2020 F-150 while I waited for the Tundra, but other than that this is my first truck (I never felt like I owned the F-150 as I always planned to trade it for the Tundra) and my first brand new vehicle, I usually buy 2 year old lease returns. I've owned Toyotas, Hondas, Volvos, BMW and Porsche. I really enjoy vehicles in general and this is no exception. The tech is really nice, the functionality is great, and it passes the test of me looking for reflections of me driving by and looking back at it in parking lots. Driving-wise, I think the TRD Pro is a bit unique in the lineup (based on reviews I've seen) but it really is nice. Very little harshness and much less wallow-y handling that I prepared myself for with the Fox suspension and being a truck. I don't think this is a sports car and so it drives very well for my expectations of it, both in power and handling. It has tons of room for my family (three kids in booster/car seats), the sun roof and fully opening rear window are a hit, even though we haven't owned it in warm weather yet. I'm picky and detail oriented, so there are things with every vehicle I own that I can nitpick at, but nothing major or anything that bothers me needlessly. I get a kick out of being on the electric motor only while parking. The lightbar and headlights are great for someone living in the country and having the sun set by 5 pm right now. I think I'm scaring the deer more than they're scaring me now! It's not perfect, but I've yet to find a vehicle that is, so feel free to DM me for my short and minor critics of the truck.

Limited Crewmax 4x4 with TRD Off Road package. Took delivery last December and just hit 15k miles. Great ride, averaging about 19.5 mpg per gallon with even mix of highway and town. ONLY issue I’ve had was the fuel gauge issue twice. Both times just detached the negative on the battery and it recalibrated. I’ve had zero regrets with the purchase.

The one issue I have is the lack of tow hooks. I did get stuck in the snow a couple of weeks ago and luckily could get pulled out backwards. Truck was great in the snow…it was driver error. Ironically on the way out I would up pulling three other vehicles out who were stuck….I obviously had to pull them out from the hitch.

If I had it to do over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. Came from a 2007 Tacoma that was bulletproof. My 17 year old daughter has it now and is about to hit 200k with no major issues. Look forward to getting that out of this truck.

SR5 OR Canadian edition. Got it march and have 16000km now. A couple small issues — fuel gauge (fixed) and some things on interior but not big. OEM tires were ok but not adequate for my needs for off-road and winter but perfect for my dads matching SR5.

still excited to drive it and regularly offer to go do errands so I can have an excuse to drive it.

2023 Tundra Limited - Crew Max TRD Off Road 4x4
Just picked up my 2023 tundra crew max limited trd off-road 2 weeks ago. My last vehicle was a 2017 Tacoma trd off-road, which I loved. This truck is a beast, I have had 0 issues, granted she’s still under 500 miles. The power is amazing and is the second fastest vehicle I have ever owned, first was a modded 2004 STi, the turbo lag is almost nonexistent. I test drove all the other full-size trucks and the tundra had the best ride, the ram was a close second. Somehow Toyota used some black magic to make the tundra both smoother and more confident in corners, than the Tacoma. She’s a looker too, imho the 3rd gen tundra is the best looking truck out there.

I've had my fair share of issues with my 22; but, for the current time period, I don't think you can beat the features for the price. There, I found something nice to say about Toyota, LOL.

My 22 plat is solid AF

Driving experience: It simply drivers great. Its quiet, rides smooth for a truck, accelerates well

Towing / Hauling: I towed 10klb + for thousands of miles, have gone thousands of miles with 3,000 lbs of payload on the truck as well

Looks: I think it looks good, and others have commented as well

Tech: It packs a lot of tech into the truck, and it all works very smooth without issue

If I could do it over again, I would get the same truck.

Man…my Tundra is good to go.

I have zero issues with mine. No noises, creaks or whatever some people are complaining about.

This truck is leagues above my 2nd and 2.5gen. And since everyone has and is entitled to opinions, MY opinion is this, the old gen just looks old lol.

Idk, some people seem totally after the 3rd gen and pointing out all their issues. I bought it, I drive it and I wanted it.

    I have a 10yr warranty and a Toyota Loyalist so I’m biased.

Lmao.....I guess all the kinks Toyota is willing to resolve are worked out. Realistically, I'd imagine every brand is having issues now. Not perfect, but it's a smooth riding truck with good tech (when it works).

yes, I bought it new, no I have not had any QC issues or build quality problems at all, fit and finish were and are perfect.

I did have a fuel pump go out last year so yes things can happen.

I view a problem like that very differently than shitty build quality and QC issues like we have seen on the new one.

I am in the market currently for one and the only thing I can think of is highway test drive before I take delivery to make sure I don't have whistling mirrors and wind noise and fuel gauge malfunction. The paint, panel alignment, air suspension adjusted properly I can head off with a walk around

I love my 22 Platinum hybrid. The power is awesome the ride is awesome. Fit and finish is good. Only issue I've had so far is my drivers seat thigh extension button stopped working. My only regret is I wish I got a truck without the AVS/air ride so I could install the TRD lift. I really want 35" tires but I don't want to install a leveling kit and ruin the sweet ride.

I love my 22 Limited Crewmax 4x4 and have had 0 issues in 10000 miles. Ive always driven a Ford truck since I was 16. Almost bought F150 platinum right before they released the 22 Tundra. I never liked the gen 2 or 2.5 Tundra interior or exterior so kept driving the Fords. I am a loyalist as I own five other Toyotas. My 2005 Sequoia has 275000, looks and drives like the day I bought it. The execution of 22 Tundra reminds me of my Sequoia. All the features I use are intuitive and well designed. Fit and finish are dead on. Drivetrain is rock solid and hauls a if you get in the mood. Auto load leveling rear suspension is same as my Sequoia but Tundra rides much smoother. Tows my 6000lb boat like its not back there with no squat. Ride is as good as my wife’s 13 Avalon that has 80000 miles and 0 issues. I’m super picky and have owned BMW’s Audi’s and a few other domestics. If you are spending 60+ on a depreciating asset just seems crazy to not buy a really well built truck, from a proven company, maintain it and drive the wheels off it. Super fun truck to drive and modify.

That is one of my favorite features, lol. I put a thousand lbs in the bed, 4 people in the truck, and a trailer with 1200lbs tongue weight on the truck and stay nice and level.
