I don't know if this bothers anyone else, but in the glove box, there is a nice little slot that looks like it is designed specifically for your owner's manual. But.... it doesn't fit. Yes, I know it still fits in the glove box, but not in the little slot that it looks like it should fit in. Does that bother anyone else?

Mine does on my 2012 RW. Must have updated the manual but not the slot.

It's just a little bit too long to fit in the slot in the case at least. The book itself will fit, minus the case.

I've noticed it pops out pretty easily. I guess I could do that as well. Make me feel better at least.

Its easier to replace the cabin filter with that piece already out. It has to be removed to replace the filter either way.

Mine fits with a little wiggling. OP, do you have a cover or something for the manual?

My owners manual fits in there, but the case for the manual is my problem. It's too long (I know, that's what she...). I push the manual to one side of the case, then bend the excess on the other side and she squeezes in there. It is annoying to do though. I should just remove that piece like you guys have mentioned.

Depends on the exact glove box. Most of them you push hard 'up' and the pull to the side a little bit.

My owners manual is huge, also in the Toyota binder is a GPS manual and a manual on how to operate the entire audio system. It all fits in the slot but like it was mentioned a little wiggling is required, so I removed it all together. Lots of room in the glove box now....

Thanks guys...yanked out that plastic shelf thing...and realized what's been rattling! The cover for the filter wasn't seated in there very well, so it was loose. It's tight now, but what a PITA to put that filter cover in properly. The manuals would fit in the plastic shelf without the case but I like it organized in the case better. Much better now.

I have all my manuals in the Toyota vinyl pouch and it fits nicely in the top left of the glove box w/ the separator installed.

I had the same problem. Just don't clip the magnetic clip, pull the flap all the way past the magnetic clip and put it in bottom facing out. Worked for me

This is what I did for the Tacoma and will now put it in my Tundra,

Here are some good idea's how to mount a holster,

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-i-mounted-a-holster-in-my-center-console.419461/

when I had my Tacoma I took a small sheet of plexiglass and screwed a blackhawk serpa holster to it then used heavy duty double sided velcro strips and put it on side of console, that way you can still put your manual and other thing in!

I'm doing the same in my new Tundra for my H&K P30 .40!

    Hope it helps!

The problem is the tundra has the smallest, most useless glove box I've ever seen on a truck.
