Sequoia water boils in overflow, coolant temp gauge shows normal temp, all wiring at coolant temp sensor secure, changed thermostat and "Burped" system. Any common problems or ideas?

Did the cap come off complete? Including the "button" on the bottom of it?

If you're boiling, then it's not burped properly. You may need to go back and burp again. Unless your system is clogged by the radiator cap, but if its whole, I would go ahead and replace it now and burp the system with cap off and heater at full blast and defrost on as well.
