Overhead console clip help

Today tried to order the retainer clips to do the overhead console swap, found the clips but couldn't bring myself to pay $25+ for shipping on $10 worth of parts. Also picked up 6qts WS trans fluid in preparation for drain and fill.

 

Looking for a place to order part #63412-08060 map retainer clips that doesn't charge an arm and leg for shipping. Any and all help appreciated. Thank u in advance

 

I think Amazon has every other clip except that one..
Can you order it from your dealership and not pay shipping?

Maybe call Sparks and see if they can mail them instead of ship them..

Checked the local dealership, no luck. Tried Sparks and a few others but all charged shipping. Never thought about mailing great idea, I can call them Monday. I will look into eBay as soon as I get home. Thank you for suggestions and quick response.

I received the overhead console clip a couple days ago and was able to get the 2nd gen long console installed yesterday. Love having the extra storage. Thank you again for the help.

You have light wired to the rear light?

 

I have a crew cab so I cave the stand alone dome in the rear. But I like the idea of having extra light so the console I bought was from a dbl cab. I had extra VLEDs, from when I switched out to the Meso custom lights, so I installed those into new console.

Sorry. Just that this recently became one of my "want to do mods" also on my CrewMax and read the thread about it.
So did you splice into the rear stand alone dome light to have both the console light and the stand alone light work together?

 

"Cave" yes typo. Meant to say " I have a crew cab so i "have" the stand alone dome light in the rear.

 

No worries. I wanted this as soon as I saw it could be done. No splicing, all I did was clip the connector from the 2nd gen into the existing one in the roof. I originally wanted the light (rear facing dome on long console) to be on its own switch bc I tend to use the red lights from the Meso kit. and I may still do that in the future. But for now it will stay how it currently sits, the lights face the back seats and are pretty far back so they don't bother me being different.

 

Ah okay I gotcha now. I just went back to the thread about adding that long console, I saw that some of those consoles don't even have the light back there so you opted for one with the light. I was thinking that you'd have to tap into the dome light in the CrewMax to power the console light.

Correct, the long ones with the light were for the dbl. cabs, the crew max one is just a filler panel in that spot. But who doesn't love more light. Good luck, hopefully you are able to get this done. Be sure to post if you do go forward with it. A word of caution, u will need 2 more retainer clips for the long version. I struggled to find them at a reasonable shipping cost, but did order off eBay from Sparks. As you can see above. If I can help in any way I'm more then happy to try.

 

Appreciate it. Gonna pick up a couple ordered parts from my local dealer and see if they hopefully have them in stock or if not they'll be able to order them for me just to have ready in case I do come across an overhead from a part out.
