I have had the BD for years and it has worked well. My local Toyota custom shop recommend the OTT, making the claim it has better performance than the BD. They told me that I would have to feather the throttle on spicy as it would make acceleration faster and shifting better.
I had the OTT installed last week, it is much better than stock. But really doesn’t feel any better than the BD. The throttle response is good not great, and definitely doesn’t require me to feather the throttle.
So now I’m looking at the PC in hopes of getting the best throttle response available.
Has anyone else ever ran the OTT and also ran the PC separately? If so which one provided you with the fastest throttle response?
I understand that the OTT does more than just change throttle and the PC only changes throttle, I’m ok with that.

Banks Pedal Monster might be a better choice if you really want to spend on something like this. The PC has been known to glitch out at critical times and that could have a really bad ending while merging at speed. I suggest more research though because I don't use any of the above yet. If I ever do, it will most likely be OTT only. Good luck!

@JustDSM may have some input on adjustments to your tune.

But in general, a throttle controller can be used in conjunction with a tune since it's just adjusting throttle sensitivity. Do some digging your self, but I personally won't buy from PC (they are a more popular brand but also have the only reports of causing issues or leaving folks in limp mode). Banks pedal monster is probably the safest out there but there are a few others.

I have looked at the PM too and that is also one I am considering. I do not see it available for my 2014 Tundra on their website.

OTT can do whatever the pedal booster boxes can do. Just ask them to make the changes you want.

Your OTT tuner should be able to support reflashing to get you the throttle response that you require. Talk to them before wasting money on a plug in pedal response increaser. And by all means, stay away from Pedal Commander. If and when the banks pedal monster becomes available for you, use that if you can’t get the response from your OTT tune that you require. Adjusting throttle response is pretty basic.

^ What these guys have said...

I had a Pedal Commander for a short while... :crapstorm:

I did not enjoy it. The response curve was either like a rented mule or squirrel on crack. Plus it has a potential safety issue that you can learn about from any Banks advert comparing the two.

So I tried a Pedal Monster which was much better, but still not what I was looking for.

I have HP Tuners on my laptop so decided to fiddle with the throttle response myself, making small changes until I was satisfied with how it drives. Then I could tell tuners like OTT what I would like.

I'm kind of a unique case for tuners in that I'm supercharged and still on stock tire size; most guys throw big tires on then a tune to compensate. I actually needed a little LESS throttle sensitivity in some spots, but didn't want to get too far in to the pedal to get the truck moving fast. OTT was able to get throttle settings to my liking. I'm sure they can do it for you as long as you can effectively communicate what you are needing (not saying that you aren't a good communicator, just that in general, custom fine tuning requires fine-tuned communication).

Ok I will give the tuner guy a shot and see if he can get me the results I want. If not I’d rather just get the $$ back, put my BD back on, and spend the $$ on another mod.

Yea 100% have your tuner adjust it. Part of the tune process should be driving with you to get a feel for how you want the throttle to feel. My OTT took a few tries to get it dialed in just right.

Avoid the PC at all costs lol
