Mostly Pheasant and Quail. Huns when I can find them. Never tried to hunt big game in that area but I see people doing it all the time. Do you hunt much in your area?

Just got my multiseason deer tag permit, tundras' going to be getting worked
I hunt all over this area. Mainly Walla Walla county as that's where I am at. I hunt pheasant, deer and elk. Just got my multiple season deer tag this year, so I will be busy. I mainly archery hunt, so I hunt late season in Spokane area as well as some areas around Umitila National forest area.

Nice! I'm in Spokane and do my big game hunting in this area. There is a lot of good hunting in Washington.

Need some camping locations! Want to go somewhere new. I live in eastern Washington, not looking to go past about six hours travel time. Idaho, Oregon or Washington. I do have the vehicle discovery access pass for Washington already. Going in June. All ideas welcome.

Wallowa Lake State Park is a good option.
The Eagle Caps are in plain view. If you want to try more rugged there is plenty of options around that area to get up in some elevation.
Olive Lake Oregon has a nice campground kind of desolate place.

Sorry I have not camped much in WA only in OR as I have family in Eastern OR.

Thanks for the ideas. Wallowa and Joseph areas are amazing.
Not that I want rugged so much as seclusion, want peace and quiet, hiking without a bunch of others kinda thing.

Strawberry Mountain is a good one. I remember as a kid how remote it was, not too many people and beautiful area.

There are a lot of good places in the Colville National Forest. Are you looking for more of an established campground or a more off the grid type spot?

Thinking something like farragut state park in Idaho but less people and no reservations needed. Don't need facilities. Don't need water but it's a plus to play in, ie. river or lake. Doesn't need to be off the beaten path but somewhere that's not popular to many people. I usually go up Robinette outside Dayton, no water and not many people go up there. Just wanted to try a new spot.

Figured i'd post this here instead of the Tires section as to focus on local places. So I am in need of some tires early thanks to a less then knowledgeable service team.....and my not knowing what pressure the tires should have been at. I should make the dealer cover at least half this cost but I don't really trust them anymore. I would like to get Tires and an alignment at the same place. Toyota wanted to put on Coopers to replace these garbage Pro Comp tires. I can get Cooper from Discount Tire but I don't think they do alignments at least I didn't see it on their website. Les Schwab has Toyo R/T with a mileage warranty and alignment but want about 50-100 more per tire. They have helped me numerous times before without asking for payment so I kinda feel like i should do the right thing and go to them. To complicate this even more I am looking for a tire that does great in the snow and the sand....enter the Wrangler Duratrac's....again at Discount Tire.

My main question is am I missing a tire shop that can get me the tires I want and at the same time do an alignment?

Should I contact the Toyota dealership about this? My truck was in there less than 1500 miles ago. I only deal with the service manager thanks to a mutual friend...but I hate calling to bitch about this situation.

Sorry I am not much help other than let you know Schwab's will always be higher. It isn't because they are trying to screw with you or cheat you. It's because they put a warranty behind everything. And if they can't they won't sell it or will offer discounts if needing a new tire that you bought from them not under warranty. Plus they will have free rotation and repair. I shopped around and went back to schwabs because they are all over and will stand behind their products.

Maybe try a different dealership. One here lost my faith in them. I now travel out of town to have stuff done at a different dealership that is upfront and does good work.

I went with Discount Tire and got some Coopers and I'm really impressed with them. I live here in Portland and we have two body shops and our shop on Stark Street uses a place called Alignment World. Russian guy runs it and he is phenomenal with alignments. He is also very very reasonable

I really like the Schwab's in Sherwood. I know a couple of the guys that work there. They have always been awesome. I was looking at getting 37's a few months ago and he straight told me they don't get the same discounts as like Discount tire does that is why they are priced higher. They did an awesome job on my alignment and are the ones that found how far out it was and that tires were no where near close to balanced. That was at 22,000 miles so I cant hold that against Toyota. They were putting the wrong pressure in. They wanted them at 32. Turns out Schwab says more like 45. The truck drove awesome when I left. My friend is a store manager for another dealer in the same "Family" of dealers so thats why I went back to Toyota...But they basically skated around the issue and I wasn't happy about that.

It's true Les Schwab is everywhere but with all their warranties and all their services it's all put into the price of the tires you definitely pay for it and that's why they are more expensive. I used to use Schwab all the time but not anymore you can't beat Discount Tire

I don't have discount here in town. I have Schwab's or local tire place that is suspect at best. Or go out of town. By the time I go out of town and back I spent the money I saved on tires in gas and time off of work.

And Discount Tire will prorate your tires for top dollar if they are not holding up 2 the tires specific mileage warranty

Back in 2002 I bought a set of Toyo's from Les Schwab for my crew cab Ford pickup. Those Toyo's didn't last even 20,000 miles and Schwab wouldn't do anything for me. So that's another reason I don't buy from them anymore

Well that sucks. I personally haven't had a bad problem til recently. Guy just doesn't know Tundras. Argued with me about the offset of stock and what I needed for the stance I wanted. Finally told him to shut up and put my wheels and order in. If I was wrong I would pay for the mistake. He told me stock was +30 not +60 for the TRD wheels and said I needed a negative offset. I rub it in his face when it came out the way I wanted.

I think Discount is going to win. They have the Cooper's, the new BFG KM3(not in stock but they carry them) and the Duratrac. I wish Discount did alignments. I guess I will try to find a reputable alignment shop on this side of town. I know we have that new 4WP in Tigard but I won't go in there unless nobody that works or worked at the 82nd store works at Tigard.
