Finished work early and hoped to get in a quick trip to the dump. Nope. 6E5BE3D4-9808-49CC-9534-455C32BB6743.jpg

getting hangry too. Don’t tell the wife, but the stuff she thinks is going to be donated is going into the ground. Not spending 30-45m in this line to do it again at the donation center. Sorry earth. Saving a half-gallon of fuel; we can call it even.

Low key BBQ Saturday, self inflicted chores around my property & anniversary date night sums up my weekend.

Looking for a little advice on interior chrome replacements, specifically the cup holder. I got bored and went to repaint the piece and threw it in a bead blaster to prep, now the chrome layer is half off and jacked up.
After searching, looks like AJT is the only option?

We’re planning a crawfish boil, assuming that we catch enough. Leaving the traps in the river overnight. Cooking em with corn, sausage and’taters. Should be set, as long as we don’t run out of beer

Went archery hunting where we went pheasant hunting the second day last year. Flood totally changed the area. But lots of pheasants flew tonight, so it's still promising.

I've got AJT on the steering wheel and vent covers. Have matching components for the climate controls waiting to be installed. I personally don't like the look of the AJT cup holder replacement set, so I just hit mine with some plasti dip. It's a temporary solution, but holding up well. I like the look, so when it wears off I'm going to rattle can a better fix.

If the bead blaster ruined the surface then my solution won't work. Don't know of another aftermarket solution so I think your choices are AJT or an OEM replacement and rattle can it.

That sounds awesome. We dissected those in 9th grade Biology class and then ate the meat. Delicious. Always wanted to do a big boil with them.

Sweet...and you'll see lots of deer there when you come back for the pheasants I bet!

These handles are from some desert ironwood I brought from AZ, when we moved.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the AJT exposed bolt look either.
I'll see if I can save the oem piece and go from there.
If anyone knows of a 3rd option, chime in!

We had a couple local fires last night and the power company said they were going to turn off the power till 3pm today. Winds got gentler and the power stayed on. Been trucks, first responders and LEO’s back and forth all day

Yeah, that’s what really started this, lol. We watched the movie last week and I started studying these. Pretty common war clubs from coast to coast. Lots of variety. Spikes were frequently bone or stone in the earlier versions. Probably should have a beaded sling and some dangling stuff like feathers or horse hair, but it’s a bit silly, I think. (Unless I go to downtown Portland after dark, lol)

Feels like it just started to me. From nothing two weeks ago to half the state now. Maybe I just wasn’t paying attention.

Smoke is coming back in now...cannot complain given @NWPirate is apparently living in a chimney.

It wasn't bad this year for Washington until now, but Oregon and California are burning pretty bad as well. Been a long dry summer over here.
