Lol. Some stuff did seem to come back into inventory this week. Almost bought a new upper. Glad I refrained.

Mrs GT was sporting this morning:

Speaking of pew pew toys, just picked this up “for the wife”.

CMMG pistol in 5.7x28 which is terribly hard ammo to find/expensive right now, but luckily I have a little hoard. Wanted to build her a good looking, lightweight, reliable little HD gun. First time going with CMMG but impressed with build quality so far.

Will have a suppressor (Mask) once that gets out of jail someday and currently researching lightweight red dots.

Beautiful. I’ve been out of the know in the industry for years, but from what I’ve read CMMG is good chit. Buddy just bought that in 45acp and is in love.

It's a sweet little system, kind of the ultimate truck gun or HD on the ready. Super compact, and you can just yank on the brace to extend it. Too bad they're backordered 6 months. I'm eyeing another one in 9mm (his and hers?) but that might be a race to see if I can get it purchased before the new ATF guidelines go into effect. Eventually they'll try and call this an SBR which is way less fun to deal with. (cost/paperwork/travel)

    Problem:
So much stuff in the garden.
    Too hot to cook indoors.
    Solution:
Grilled artichokes, zucchini, shallots, beets, bell pepper, added to some pieces of smoked beef and pork, served on a bed of rice and topped with a sprinkling of feta cheese.
    Cooked the rice indoors.
Washed down with a nice Cabernet Sauvignon.
Somehow we’re gonna survive this heat, lol!

Sounds like a nice dinner. Scotch and cigar by the fire along the creek is needed this evening and you'll have the heat beat!

I have lived my entire adult life in Oregon. I have never seen temps like this here:
    17D4BBB1-D92A-4FDB-B55C-CAAFBD67F301.jpg

I love the heat, and in a strange twist of fate, I am spending the hot days in LA… where it will be 30 degrees cooler!

We registered 103 on our weather station here.
Heard on the news that the Portland temperature, 108, is an all time record.
    Tomorrow will be worse.DB02B13F-FCD6-495C-951F-417996874416.jpg

It sure is. I had two of my subcontractors call me last night saying they were keeping their employees home tomorrow because of the heat.

Not good! We're cutting our camping trip a little short and leaving this morning.
Don't feel like hauling the trailer across the state in 115°+ temps Tuesday.

I’m really excited about moving my grandmother-in-law today. I begged my in-laws, last week, to start early. Nope! 1pm start. :bananadead::facepalm:

So today’s was a 7am semi final and a possible 10am final. Drove all the way up here to Camas just to have the entire tournament cancelled 4 minutes after we got here. WTF!
Time for a little scrimmage since we are all here then back home.

At some point last night the A/C got caught up finally. If you believe the Weather app, my house and outside temp are the same now. But going for a walk this morning, my ass sweat begs to differ. Just cranked the thermostat down a few more degrees to try to get ahead.

Last night before bed the wife wanted to get up early again and go for another long morning walk. We decided to do a shorter route and then cut it even shorter once the sun came up. You could just feel the temps start climbing.

Eating only cold food today. Not making any heat in the kitchen…

    Stay cool everyone

Just made it back, we saw 108° by lunchtime.
No issues with our travels but did see a couple bad wrecks and a wheat fire outside of Ritzville.

Luckily we live around 2,500 ft in elevation, so it's a touch cooler than what we saw on the way home.
