So I've got two choices with the wheels on my Tundra. The 3rd (do nothing) isn't an option...

They are the chrome ones that came with the "LA Edition" trim and are peeling. From a distance they're fine, but they look pretty bad up close.

I can have them sandblasted and powder coated black for ~500-600 bucks, then I'd need a new set of the center caps. Anyone have a set or know where I can get a replacement set at a reasonable price?

Option 2 would be to buy a set of dealer take offs and trade in the peely ones.

At the end of the day the truck needs new tires anyways so I'm not opposed to either route.

Buy a set of take-offs would be my suggestion. I have done both.

Tundra wheels are usually not difficult to find, folks often sell them when upgrading. Not sure which year you have, but 2nd gen factory alloys can be found for not much coin as well as the Off Road package wheels. Should be able to find a nice set for 200-400 depending.

Dealer take off could be great, depending on how much they are charging for the wheels. I would not spend the $ to refinish and powerdercoat what you have unless they are some special edition wheels, TSS or such, that you wanted to keep.

Thanks for the input guys, the dealer take offs with a set of new (or barely use) tires will run ~2000-2500 for the style I'm looking at. They'll also take the current wheels as a trade in ($500-700) so that number drops again.
