Opt7 side kick courtesy lights

I had a set on that lasted 2 years so I replaced them today. The previous set would not dim slowly to fully lit when I would unlock the truck.

This new set the passenger side slowly dims to full light right when I hit the unlock button but the driver side delays and comes on fully lit all at once. I have them spliced wired into the VLED footwell lights. I can’t figure out why it would do this. Like I said the other set would both delay and come on fully lit at once together which is fine I just don’t like one side coming on sooner than the other. Any help appreciated.
