Whats up guys. New to the tundra community here in CO been eyeing them for a long time and finally took the plunge! Been a lexus/toyota enthusiast for quite some time now.

Wanted to get some feedback from anyone using the vland headlights (non-projector) I’m afraid to lose the leveling function on the dial, trooperdc4x4 had mentioned it integrates over just wanted to confirm. I have the vland heads and tails on my 09’ lexus Is-F and have been impressed with the quality and willing to give vland more of my business from good experience in the past.

How is the light output and cutoff look like compared to oem halogen? Do they look cheap in person, and is the drl smooth with no hot spots. Appreciate your feedback! Ill add a couple of pics of my current projects for kicks. Thanks!

They look too Chinese. Just get the OEM LED.

They look identical to the OEM lights (says nothing about quality).

    They are $439 on eBay

OEM are only slightly more. Plus the vland website says theirs don’t work with 2019+. Big sign they aren’t equal to oem.

    I was not mentioning quality.
I was just referring to how he said they look too Chinese.
Yet they look aesthetically exactly the same as OEM.

I can't tell just by looking at it if it's OEM or not. Someone had a thread about it and he was very happy with them. It wasn't advertised as vland tho.

Right, I wasn’t trying to target you specifically, just putting the info out there for anyone reading.

I personally wouldn’t want to risk such an important component of my truck to a Chinese copy to save $150.

They do have better pricing on other sources, yes. Curious as to what the differences between the 19’s vs. other model years and why that particular year has “alarm” issues?

The difference between OEM and VLAND is they provide you with wires to make the 2014-2018 Tundra headlights work. 2019+ comes with factory LED headlights. Older tundras need the wiring harness to make the OEM LED headlights function. Usually the wiring harness runs an extra $100+.

So it's not just an extra $150 on OEM headlights, you're also looking at additional costs if your tundra is between 2014-2018.

Just thought I'd post up that I bought those Vlands. I read reviews that the amber bulb eventually melts the housing. So I replaced those immediately with LEDs with resistors. So far, so good. I think they look great!

On my truck, I disconnected one of the three wires from the turn signal so that it only operates when I turn on my turn signal. I had to replace my LED bulb because it got hot and burned out the bulb. So this should increase the life of the bulb since it's not on all the time anymore.

just ordered these off Amazon lol. which wire did you disconnect? is the turn signal bulb the same as the factory? I have '15 Pro (halogen) lights now, with the VLED V6 Triton switchbacks (for DRL and turn signal in the stock location) - would I be able to reuse these in the vland lights?

What about having a 2021. With halogen lights. I asked the Toyotas part department at my local dealership.. and I was told I need a whole new wire harness and leds at the price of $3500 to 4,000 to have them installed on my truck .. is that the actual price or were they just blowing smoke ?

If you install them exactly as they come, the white LED and yellow amber stay on as your DRL. I think there is a wire you can cut via their instructions and it stops the amber light from being on with the white LED for the DRL. I liked both being on, so I didn't bother with that. Personal preference. I will say, I replaced the amber bulb it came with due to worry of them getting too hot. I read and saw pics of the housings melting slightly. So I bought some LEDs. They were slightly expensive but they worked without resistors or anything extra. Plug in and they were good to go. I'll find the brand if you need, I just can't remember off the top of my head.

My truck was stock with just halogen bulbs and ambers.

Yeah I was nervous about the longevity, but these have been my favorite upgrade.

Some other things I've done and love:

Remote start kit, plug and play $200:

    Tailgate lock kit $125:
POP & Lock - Toyota Tundra Heavy Duty Power Tailgate Lock with Plug and Play T-Harness https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08T5HSW9Z

Not The brightest lights but they do help a lot because I have a bed cover.
    Bed light kit $60:

I just installed vland headlight kit. Question. I see a sticker or something inside the headlight. Was I suppose to remove that?
