Before you respond: I NEED a plastic drop-in liner. It is the only setup that allows my snowmobile to roll smoothly into the bed. So no spray in or felt liners.

I found a Pendaliner brand bed liner for $120 on carid. Toyota wants over $300 wholesale and from what I remember, the only thing special on my 2010 Tundra liner was that it had the Toyota logo on it.

What are your thoughts on a decent drop-in bed liner?

I would get the cheaper one.

And take it out yearly to clean and protect the bed from rust somehow.

I live in a road salt area so after ten years it's going to rust no matter what I do. Bed is covered when not hauling the sled though so it stays dry in the bed most of the time.

If you are only going to use it in the winter months, then you should be fine as long as you clean your bed in the spring. Id go with the cheapest one and see how it holds up and if its junk then get the OEM one next year.

I'd check facebook marketplace or craigslist. People are always pulling out perfectly good drop in liners to have spray in done. Once you pull one out, you have a hard time giving it away.

Found plenty of used ones.... All of them 4+ hours away. For $120 I'll sit in my chair at home and save the 8hr drive

Around here everyone wants the used liners. We use them on trailers and ramps for the sled skis to slide on. You cut the bottom out and though away the sides.

Personally I would still do a spray in. Just get the bottom of an old liner and place that in the bottom over top of your spray in to protect it from the carbides. Remove when done.

Just bought a house and this truck so spray in is just not in the fiscal realm of possibilities at the moment. I also had a 2010 with the plastic liner and no rust issues whatsoever as I kept the bed covered when not in use.

Understood. I've used drop in plastic liners on previous trucks without issue. I use to spray a thin coat of fluid film on the box to help with any slight rust that may form.

My 2010 would get a tiny layer of surface rust in spots where there was metal exposed and then wouldn't really grow much after that. I was impressed with the quality of steel. But fluid film or something similar before installing the liner would be a good precaution.

Sound like you really need a truck bed mat. Those should be less than $100.00

Actually, bodyshops, and linex centers have them all of the time.
