So my 2014 Crewmax developed a mildew smell and I started hunting for the leak. Found wet carpet on the driver side, rear floor panel, closest to the door, where the plastic trim meets the carpet. seems its coming from the rear window gasket. i replaced the 3rd brake light gasket and the leak is still persisting. anyone have and ideas on how to further diagnose?

Get in the back and have someone drive it through the car wash?

A lower psi pressure washer from the outside while you are inside should present the issue pretty quick I would think?

A reputable glass shop would likely be a lot cheaper than the dealer, and they would probably know about the issue if it's common.

Would probably be worth calling around and getting some prices and asking a few questions.

That rear window is a neat idea, but like anything else, it opens up the possibilies of things going wrong.

Keep us posted when you get it solved.

I chased leaks in my F150 and Ram 1500 - super frustrating and would love to know where it's coming from on a Tundra and to be on the lookout.

On those trucks they both leaked from the 3rd brake light in to the cab, and the Ram 1500 specifically also had a leak the the slider rear window (N/A on tundra crewmax with the slide down window).

Strap a sprinkler to a pole and aim it directly at the suspected area. At the dealer, we had stands made out of conduit with shower heads mounted on top. Garden hose hooked up to each one and let em rip. We'd gut the interior, at least the suspicious area, and let it rain. We always found the leaks.
