I'm looking to build out system that will support On Board Air, ARB Locker and Horn. In reality. I'm trying to avoid the "new truck itch." by adding what I've always wanted on my 14.

I think I've decided on doing a hybrid air system by combining parts from multiple vendors and running a small radiator fan to cool the compressorS. I believe the vast majority of issues with compressors is heat related. Those silly little fans you can buy from the manufactures are pitiful. Probably go with dual compressors. That way, I will have a redundant compressor and the build pressure will be minimal. Hopefully increase the longevity of the system. Probably going to put the system in the bed of the truck using the Tundra bed rail system to mount the pieces.

    Looking for advice/comments.

I don't know exactly how the ARB locker works. I see that ARB is running a sale where you can get their entry level compressor for free with purchase. Thought I would do this and then sale what I don't use from it.

How does the locker work. I understand getting air to them, but how do they purge? Horn is easy. I can just run a solenoid valve to it.

Probably do the rear locker. Any reason to do the front locker as well?

I don't have any real work reason to do this. I just want to do it. Maybe decide where and etc later.

Any wisdom will be greatly appreciated.

    None, yet....
There is a guy on here who makes arb mounts for the passenger side rear of the engine bay. Otherwise, there isn’t much room under the engine bay, but you can always mount it inside the cab.

In regards to how the ARB actuated, it purges through the same feed line on a solenoid. Only caveat, if you do need up going ARB, is don’t mount the solenoid activation inside the cab. The solenoids get a little diff fluid in them and purge it out through the vent. Then your cab will smell like diff fluid.

For the compressor they include with their lockers, that’s a locker only compressor. Meaning the volume output it produces is minimal and it’s duty cycle is very low. Great for lockers, since they don’t require much air, but not great for really much else. They make other models with higher duty cycles, which would be more versatile for your application. Viair is also a good option and so in a tank of CO2.

    Hope this helps.

Pretty sure you can get a credit towards their dual compressor instead of the free one as well. Might be worth looking into.
