Just curious about if my oil pressure is normal. When I start my truck it rises to about 3/4, then drops down to about just under half. I’ll rise slightly above have if I get on the throttle but most of the time it is below. I know it is barely even noticeable but it is still low. Is this just because of my oil heating up?

Completely normal. That's where they all sit when warm, half to slightly under.

My 2014 does this too, high pressure on start up and sits roughly at halfway mark once warmed up.

When cold the oil pump will build pressure until the relief valve opens up, then the pressure settles into the normal range. Perfectly normal.

Normal with 0w20 and 5w30. When i run 15w40 in the summer it actually sits in the middle.

A worthless gauge like most oem oil pressure gauges because people would unnecessarily freak out if it showed real data

Been thinking to do that myself. Notice any difference in how it runs?

I only had 0w20 in it when I bought it and then changed it soon after for 5w30. 5w30 is definitely much quieter than 0w20 but in the summer and after it has around 3000 miles on it then you start to hear that tick. With 15w40 it stays nice and quiet all the way til I change it out at the end of the summer.

Do you run full synthetic? what kind of driving do you typically do? I.E. highway, short city, offroad, etc.

I run Mobil 1 5w30 and Rotella T6 15w40. All mixed driving between short trips and highway, no offroad

    Mine looks exactly like that.

Side note, I like your F to E indicator. I wish mine was there more often.
