Oil pressure numbers, what are you seeing?

I installed a scanguage 3 in my truck a few days ago. Pretty cool, but more info than I really need... LoL I installed it for future plans to tow my RV and want to monitor transmission fluid temps. I will get an external cooler before summer trips.

One of the PIDs I'm watching is the oil pressure. Numbers are odd, but I am not freaking out. I believe I saw somewhere here that the system varies the oil pressure for different functions internally. It definitely varies a lot. I an seeing between 15 and 32 PSI few and far in between the middle area.

I know oil pressure is not what's overall important. It's oil flow. I had built a pretty nasty V6 Buick several years ago (had to sell it, or it was going to kill me). I went to my engine builder with concerns of 5-10 PSI at idle and would increase with RPMs. He explained that oil flow is what is of value. He assured me that everything was perfectly fine and I now feel this way. Oil pressure is just that, pressurized oil that is not aiding anything in that condition.

Thanks in advance for any inputs,
    Mike

I see it jack up to 3/4 on the read-out when the engine is totally cold. Then when the motor heats up to a stable temp, it pretty much stays a little bit below 1/2.

My SG3 reads about 78 psi at cold idle and 15 when warmed up. And everywhere in between while running.
