Looking for some advice. I changed the plugs on my 09 Tundra 5.7 and found on both sides the 2 middle plugs had oil on them. I'm thinking that I need to replace the spark plug tube seals? Or could something else be the cause? From what I can gather there is only seals in the valve cover and that the tube is pressed into the head? Thanks in advance for any input.

    You might be right.

I likewise just changed my plugs.

A couple of my plugs were wet, but only the last few threads closest to the gap.

My mechanic said it really wasn't an issue.

He said if it would've been wet like your photo it can definitely be an issue.

    Good luck.

@Les7311 first great writeup on the process of changing the seals. Just wondering if my issue in this post is the same issue that prompted you to change your seals?

    That’s correct.
I went in to do a simple spark plug change and after seeing two of the plugs soaked ( on the driver side), I decided to do the VCG.

However I found out about the tub seals and went all out. Bout the plugs on eBay for less than half stealerahip cost, but didn’t take any chances with the tub seals so I went dealership.

It was a walk in the park and felt confident enough to do this.

Glad the write up helped and hola if you need more help.
