Oil dipstick tube trouble

I’m working my 2014 Toyota tundra 5.7. I bought this engine because my previous one failed. They didn’t send it with a dip stick and when I started to install a new dip stick I discovered this. Is this normal. Also the dipstick doesn’t seem like it wants to seat properly. Tips or info would be appreciated
