Bought 2011 Tundra new. Used 1quart between oil changes Always! Just before warranty expired they ran scope in all cylinders & #8 piston had multiple broken rings, & compression was within spec’s. First time dealer had Ever changed a short block out on a 5.7. Now has 140,000 miles and never moves off full mark on dipstick between changes.
Root cause - seems my NEW truck had been used as a demo
Model & Everyone drove the H—- out of it before I bought it. OOPS.
