I have a 2012 tundra 5.7 liter with 73k. I've been changing oil every 5k. Is toyota really recommending 10k now?

    Welcome to the forum..
If you've been doing it a 5K miles, you might as well keep doing it for 5K miles.
If you have a FlexFuel, Toyota recommends 5K oil changes anyway..

It also depends on your environment, towing, mostly short trips as opposed to mostly highway driving, type of oil, etc. I agree that 5K mile intervals are the best way to go. It’s also good time to rotate your tires as well...JMO

The '12 owners manual says 10k unless you are flex fuel.

I usually only drive 7-10k in a year so I plan to do mine annually.

I do have flex fuel. Some times I’ve gone longer and shorter in between based on the color of the oil on my dipstick. If it’s darker than usual, I’ll change it then.
