So I have a question, what is the easiest way to tell if a shop actually changed the oil in my car? Other than looking at the oil?

I was 6 months or so over the time period but still a couple thousand miles under. But went ahead and got the oil changed with inspection and had the air/fuel induction system cleaned.

I reviewed the dashcam videos this evening and I can tell where the inspection and induction services were done, but I can’t see how they changed the oil. They didn’t have a service pit they drove over, and I don’t see where they lifted the car. They could have sucked the oil out, but how would they have changed the oil filter?

The oil looks a little between new and used. I can’t exactly tell. Especially since I was so far under the mileage. I didn’t look at it before.

The car is also lowered, so I can’t tell what oil filter is on there now. That may be the best way if I can find a way to lift it just to get a view.
