I was just at my local Toyota dealership picking up some parts for my mom's RAV4 and had to look at these SR5 Tundra trucks. One was 75k and the other 76k. IMG_7556.jpg IMG_7555.jpg IMG_7554.jpg

    Wow.

dealer "custom builds" have always been stupid.

No kidding on the jack up.

that lift, tires/wheels, and wrap should be no more than 8 k.

Why pay for shitty taste when you can finance it for 120 months???

It goes without saying that those colors (and prices) aren't my cup of tea. But they did at least remind me of Lewis Black's "rental car" bit, the Plymouth Hor-I-zon; "Are you kidding me, I've never driven a car that's aqua!" So that made me laugh.

Dealers should not be allowed to do that. Sell the trucks as factory & do add on IF the customer requests. It's BS to force add ons.

Nobody in their right mind should buy those, but you know someone will.
So $57,100 before all the dealer installed nonsense.

    What's "Pulse" for $395??

Pulse - $395. Is that for them to call EMS to see if you still have one after seeing the sticker price?

Pretty color, if someone really wanted this they'll pay for it but I wouldn't pay sticker for anything, especially not a price like this even with the dealer installed items.

Pulse is that kind-of-good-idea pulsating brake light you see; flickers 3 times upon brake pedal application.

Well, we see it in MN A LOT as it is a common way for dealers to fleece more of our money away...

So, a $400 brake light flasher. Utter insanity.

I'm in MN and wasn't familiar with it.

No one's "forced" to buy it...

    But some yahoo probably will.

"Gloss Murky Forest" might be the weirdest color name I've ever heard.

100% agree. It makes it nearly impossible to find a vehicle at MSRP in some regions. Almost all dealers are putting some sort of stupid protection package or accessories that most people don't want. Should be illegal.

I always laugh at dealer mark ups on anything. They'll tell you that's the only way they can make money. At least they were kind enough to included the destination fee. Really shows that they aren't taking full advantage of someone.

    Yep.
Seems the bigger dealers, around the Cities area especially (Luther, Walser, etc), LOVE putting these "Pulse" things on all their nicer used and new vehicles alike. I saw that charge on the last 'nice' 4Runner we looked at when we sat down to play the stupid 'I'll check with my manager on that offer' game and said we didn't want it and please take it off.
They said too bad, can't take it off, go find another 4Runner.
    So we did...

Also those Tundras on the top are dumb.
