So upon adding my sdhq fenders, I'm not a fan of how narrow the front of the truck looks now. Currently running 18x9 +25 with 6inch bs.. looking at an 18x9 with 5 inch bs at a 0 offset. The math is a little confusing to me but I believe that's a 1.75 difference in overall width per side. Am I wrong? If so please help me out. Thanks guys.

If you're changing nothing but the backspace/offset, then it will stick out 25mm (little less than an inch, 1" = 25.4mm) more on each side.

Backspace and offset are tied to each other, they're just measured from different points in the rim. Offset is from the center of the rim, and backspace is from the back/inside of the rim.

So if you want to stick out 2 more inches, then you need a -25mm offset.

So changing the back spacing doesnt change anything as far as how far the wheel move outward?

Nvm I get it now.. changing the offset directly changes the back spacing of the wheel.. correct?

Wow so in order to get the full effect of these fenders, I'm gonna have to really manipulate the offset of the wheel..any suggestion on an offset?heres how it sets currently.. I don't think an inch would be that noticeable?20181014_133413.jpg

Those fenders are pretty wide your either gunna need a very negative offset, wheel spacers, or balls to the wall go long travel! :bananadance:

Long travel would be a better option than running -25ish offset (IMHO the amount of offset it would take on a 9 wide to look better).

-25 is a lot of offset, will increase wear on front end components as it acts like a lever, and rubbing will be a major concern.
