Agreed, I think this is amongst my biggest gripes with my 2022 Tundra! How stupid is it that the software engineers thought it would be helpful to continuously alert for gunked up sensors rather than alert once. Or alert once and throw an Amber attention light but not continually take over the display with the recurring alerts. This isn't something that can't be fixed with a software revision and update to the vehicle.

But stop for gas and turn the engine off and you've got to go back and turn all of the alerting systems off again!

Don't forget to reselect your drive mode too! Hate that when towing and I have to reselect it every time the engine is restarted. If I forget, I am towing in normal mode!

    Hi y'all.

First post after lurking a while. Just finalized the order for my 2024 1794. First truck ever. Details will follow once everything is said and done.

I ordered the same truck, in gray. Seeing this in white makes me want to switch :)

Picked up my Tundra on March 8th, and only received one key fob. How long should I expect to wait until I receive some form of communication on the second fob?

I hope to get my truck towards the end of the month. I am curious as to whether it will come with two fobs or one, and if one, what does have to do to get the other one?

My understanding is Toyota should reach out, though the dealer was not very good at explaining it to me.

Very inconsistent process! There is a separate thread with an estimated 2nd FOB delivery “goal” table.

It took about 6 month before we received our 2nd FOB. It showed up in the mail with a note telling us to take it to the dealer to have it programed.

This was last year, so I don't know if things have changed much.

I know this is an older thread, but I was just talking about this type of thing with my son.

I'm pretty sure Toyota is fending off law suits constantly. Some might be legitimate while others are certainly "user error" (or just flat our frivolous). I'm guessing these types of constant warning are the result of many different customers having an "incident" and then blaming Toyota because the vehicle didn't warn them enough, or only warned them one time, etc.

Some people need to be told constantly that a feature is unavailable or they assume everything is working all the time and then they have an accident and blame Toyota. Lawyers line up to sue such a wealthy company, so here we are dealing with constant alerts and warning to protect Toyota was endless lawsuits.

I had an Avalon some years ago that nagged me about every little thing. It annoyed me, but I understood why.

In the end, if Toyota has to keep paying many lawsuits, they'll have to raise their prices to offset those costs. So, pick your poison...

..said goodbye to my 2022 today! Big thanks and appreciation to the forum moderators and contributors. I've loved being part of this tribe for the past couple of years. I've spent far too much time here -- and accessory/upgrade money because of this forum! HAHA! I got into a 1500 AT4 (T-Diesel) and a new forum awaits... God bless! Daniel

I got my limited in 22' about 62 grand with upgraded tires, leveling, panorama sunroof, just a smidge above sticker when the other dealers wanted a $13k markup, but my credit union gave me long term 1.9% financing, so I jumped on it. No turbo issues, but now this engine replacement thing? Mine has been great for 35k miles and I have their top tier ext warranty to 100k miles
