Official 2022 Tundra 3rd Gen Thread

Around here I've seen a blueprint 1794. I want to see a pro in the wild. I have one being built and have driven one but want to see it from a pedestrian standpoint. I hope I have the same giddy reaction like when I see a gen 3 raptor (also ordered).

 

Drive from AL-KC-SD-ID I saw about 12 in total, see a few around town from time to time and driving to montana last weekend we saw 7 on the road

 

It works in the normal market because most of the dealers are willing to trade trucks with each other and get you what you want, but in the current market, you are right, it sucks. Just build them to what the customer wants because they aren't sitting on lots anyway.

 

Holy man! You may never drive something new. I feel like you’ve had money down on a Lightning, Raptor, at least 4 or 5 different Tundras.

I did see a LR TRD Pro at Costco today (stock) and really like it. Now I want one with a Westcott lift and 37” and call it a day. I actually keep coming back to Solar Octane and likening it more and more. It’s too loud for me, and everyone I’ve asked in the family. But man, has it grown on me. And of course have turned down at least 4 SO pros at this point. Never finding a white or LR yet.

 

I'd take SO over white or LR...

 

So I went to Wekfest today. And for all the Euro and JDM goodness inside, what I really wanted was sitting in the parking lot.



I have seen up close SR5s, Limited's and Platinum 2022s. Part of me was going to compromise on a buying a Limited Hybrid with the TRD Off Road Package if it popped up faster. But now that I have seen the TRD Pro in person up close, I don't want any other trim but this. Looks like the wait continues.

 

Lightning was my vehicle. Until I saw it in person and how cheap it is for the price. At this point it’s strictly a flip.

Raptor is my favorite color at msrp and a back up to the pro if I don’t like the pro.

 

i was there too. you know if they bought that locally there was a heavy market adjustment maybe unless they got it at sunnyvale, redwood city or oakland.

 

what actually constitutes an EV I mean isn’t the hybrid part EV and well conngress just extended the $7,500 EV vehicle purchase credit. Shouldn’t hybrid owners also receive a percentage of this credit ??

 

Has to be plug-in. So it has to be PHEV or EV. And PHEV’s are prorated based on the battery size.

Technically they're all prorated based on battery size, but PHEV's usually are very small batteries.

 

Saw a Smoked Mesquite Limited 6.5ft bed at the dealer. I've seen it posted out by the street for a week now. Wandering why no one bought it yet. Here's why:

$12k over msrp for a used 2022 with 4k miles on it. That's why it's been sitting for awhile. Surprising cause I bought both my 3rd gen from dealer at MSRP.

 

Does anyone have the order guide? I have a distribution list of Tundra's coming in and I do not know what "FE TR 3P D5 D8 DK L4 LB" means. The paint codes are a little easier to crack via the toyota.com build site. Thanks

 

FE - 50 State Emissions
3P - PPF
DK - Owners Portfolio
LB - Spray On Bedliner

not sure of the others… But these codes are found on Factory Window Stickers when equipped with corresponding items…

 

What distributor? Gulf? SET?
